THE VIEW FROM THE LIGHTHOUSE
THE PENTECOST PAGES
CHRISTIAN AND RELATED RESOURCES
The idea for this site came one Pentecost Sunday long before I knew how to publish on the Web and during the learning curve, most of the simply produced original pages have been hiding quietly with another ISP, perhaps as a "cyber prayer!". Although there is still not as much as planned here yet, a lot of material has been promised for inclusion and will be added as soon as possible. It is hoped the site will be a small yet constantly growing reference for Christian & other spiritual prayers, articles and information, especially links to other Christian, religious and spiritual sites. There is so much already on the web if you can filter through it and there is little point in duplicating it. The site is intended to be fully ecumenical in its content. If you wish to contribute any items or have any suggestions and comments or merely found it helpful (or not), or if you find any broken links, please e-mail me.
May all who visit find Peace and Happiness in Our Lord Jesus Christ
The Rosary pages including a description and all the prayers
All the pages on this site are under construction and occasionally may not be available during updating. Loads more are under construction so please bookmark and re-visit occasionally. Please e-mail me if you want to be notified of major additions.
Biblical inspiritional encouragement for the site (although it is rather hard to put into practice sometimes)
The Spirit of the Lord has been given to me, for he has anointed me.
He has sent me to bring the good news to the poor to proclaim liberty to captives and to the blind new sight, to set the downtrodden free, to proclaim the Lord's year of favour. (Luke 4: 8-19)
THE MILLENNIUM RESOLUTION
Let there be respect for the earth, peace for its people, love in our lives, delight in the good,
forgiveness for past wrongs, and from now on a new start.
This text has been prepared by "Churches Together" in England as part of plans to encourage the whole nation to join in a shared moment of national reflection on New Year's Eve 1999
A true Christian is a sign of contradiction- a living symbol of the Cross. He or she is a person who believes the unbelievable, bears the unbearable, forgives the unforgivable, loves the unlovable, is perfectly happy not to be perfect, is willing to give up one's will, becomes weak to be strong, sees some good in every bad and finds love by giving it away. A Christian transcends the natural with the immeasurable power of love and becomes a supernatural person.
