You are warmly invited to join in urgently with prayer for world-wide peace.

Although you may feel helpless to influence current world events,
you most certainly are not. This is not just about Iraq.

We need a peaceful 'war' of prayers combined with the relentless pursuit of all other possible peaceful solutions to bring an end to every worldwide threat of war, conflict and terrorism etc. Freedom and justice to all oppressed peoples through seeking lasting peace and reconciliation, instead of the destruction, pain, misery and waste of endless, inhuman conflict.

In addition to any other peaceful action your conscience prompts you to take - You can really make a difference by praying for peace (and fasting if you are willing and able). Don't delay - any prayers will help - short or long, Especially the Rosary

The world urgently needs to return to a belief in God and all our prayers for peace.

It is a VITAL (life giving) part of the Christian Response, that peaceful solutions may be found to these problems.

We do not give up on every part of the political and diplomatic process either. There are genuine and hard issues to be dealt with.

We should be trying to be God's people; apostles of His mercy and ambassadors of His compassion; for LIFE - not death. Humanitarian Aid - not bombs. The Christian message is to treat others as you would have them treat you. Love, help understand and heal them, not to bomb them.

A 'wall' of prayer is an effective barrier to evil. It is time also to be a peace 'prayer warrior' - A peace 'prayer crusader', not like crusaders and warriors of the past.

What have you got to lose? (actually, possibly everything!)

Will you at least try it?

"But I say to you, love your enemies; and pray for those who persecute you." (Mt. 5:44)

What if you really knew for sure that you could stop war or at the very least, reduce the tragic consequences of war and conflicts by simply prayer.

What if this were possible but required you to have more faith in the existence of God, His love for us and His desire for lasting peace in our own hearts and between all mankind.

ROME, JAN. 28, 2003 (Zenit.org).- John Paul II appealed to Christians of the East and West to pray so that war be averted in the Middle East. During an audience today with representatives of ancient Eastern Churches, the Pope noted that the majority came from the Middle East and surrounding countries. All Christians Called to Serve Peace, Says Pope
 

ROME, JAN. 26, 2003 (Zenit.org).- John Paul II appealed to all Christians to "serve peace and reconciliation, justice and solidarity, especially at the side of the poor and the least of the earth." 

The Pope made his plea Saturday in the Basilica of St. Paul Outside the Walls during solemn vespers that closed the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity.
"The theme of peace remains as urgent as ever," he said. "It makes particular demands on the followers of Christ, the Prince of Peace, and it represents a challenge and a commitment for the ecumenical movement."
At the vespers, which were ecumenical in character, the Pope recognized that the goal of full unity among Christians experiences "the difficulties, the problems, and at times the disappointments which we still encounter."
"But the Holy Spirit never ceases to surprise us and he continues to work extraordinary wonders," he added. "This is why we need to stress the importance of spiritual ecumenism, which constitutes the soul of the whole ecumenical movement." ZE03012609

29/12/02 A timely reminder on the Feast of the Holy Family that there are alternatives to another conflict and more avoidable loss of life with untold misery suffered by ordinary people with families and feelings just like our own as well as the families of military personnel who will be at the sharp end - some of whom may sadly lose their own lives.

We know how Vicka cares for those who suffer. In putting God back in the first place, let us not allow such a tragedy ever to happen again!

Annual Apparition to Jakov on December 25th 2002 - At the last daily apparition to Jakov Colo on September 12th, 1998, Our Lady told him that henceforth he would have one apparition a year, every December 25th, on Christmas Day. This is also how it was this year. The apparition began at 5:20 pm and lasted 7 minutes. Our Lady gave the following message: "Dear children! Today, on the day of love and peace, with Jesus in my arms, I call you to prayer for peace. Little children, without God and prayer you cannot have peace. Therefore, little children, open your heart so that the King of Peace may be born in your heart. Only in this way you can witness and carry God's peace to this peaceless world. I am with you and bless you with my motherly blessing."

Little children, the one who prays is not afraid of the future and the one who fasts is not afraid of evil. Once again, I repeat to you: only through prayer and fasting also wars can be stopped – wars of your unbelief and fear for the future. I am with you and am teaching you little children

Prayers for our service personnel...
May angels surround our service personnel and protect them every minute, especially if / when there is armed conflict.
May the men and women who are deployed - find comfort in knowing about the many ongoing prayers of people around the world. In spite of the serious situation...may the soldiers, sailors, marines and other service men/women receive happy relief with tiny bits of surprises that Our Lord will provide - especially when needed the most.

Awesome Heavenly Father, we ask that You hold our troops "tightly" in Your loving Hands, keeping them from all harm, as they so selflessly protect us!!!  We thank You Lord for giving us such as these. . .truly You have blessed us!!!

Please Jesus, Totally Cover them in Your Love and surround them in blankets of our prayers, be with their families and their precious little ones.  Grant also an abundance of Your Wisdom along with Your Perfect Peace which surpasses all understanding!  We also ask that revival would spring forth from the trials they are going through, to Your Eternal Glory!!!

Abba Father we ask that You place a SUPERNATURAL SHIELD all about them!!  Isaiah the Prophet told us "the LORD will go before you, and the God of Israel will be your rear guard".  Oh, LORD God, how we Praise You!!!  May these troops come to KNOW that they are in The Hands of the True and living God, Creator of the Heavens and Earth and ALL that is therein!!!  Jesus, please we pray, may they feel Your Touch like never before.

Father God, it is In the Most Holy Name of Your Son, JESUS,  that we come now against the evil that would take the lives of the innocent!  We ask that the enemy be confounded, may his plans be filled with confusion, mistakes and mishaps!!!  May his hidden evils be uncovered in YOUR LIGHT!!! May his weapons of hate misfire, backfire and fall apart in his own hands!!

We also pray for our president and all of our officials, we pray Lord that You would Grant them of Your Wisdom, fill them
with peace, give them strength as needed and draw each and every one into Your Arms of love!  O' How we thank and praise You!!!

Almighty Heavenly Father God, We ask, at this time, that You hold the members of our military in Your caring and loving hands. Protect them as they protect us.

Thank You Lord Jesus for showing us that some things are so precious and the price so high that only blood can pay it,
as the Most Precious Blood ever - Yours Lord Jesus - had to be spilled to secure our freedom from sin!
The price of freedom has always been paid in blood.

Knowing this Heavenly Father, we humbly come seeking Your Mercy and Grace in this time of need.  Abba Father, we seek Your Perfect protection over our men and women, we seek a supernatural protection to surround them.  We ask that their blood be totally under Your Protection!

Embrace them and shelter them under the wings of Your Mighty Love. Send forth, by Your Holy Spirit, a shower
of Your merciful blessings upon them. Grant for each of them, "Godly wisdom" and understanding of their duties,
and give to them the strength they need to execute them.

Please we pray. . . use these who serve. . . to YOUR ETERNAL GLORY! We leave this request at Your Feet,  Precious Father, asking that   You pour out from Heaven, all of the bountiful blessing and amazing peace they will need.

Abba Father we ask that You bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform - on our behalf - in times of need. Those who put their lives on the line to protect the innocent and uphold justice in this world deserve our highest respect and fervent prayers. Almighty and eternal God, Father of mercy, May your grace enkindle in all of us a love for the many unfortunate people who poverty and misery reduce to a condition of life unworthy of human beings . Arouse in the hearts of all who call you Father, a hunger and thirst for peace and justice and for fraternal charity in deeds and in truth. Grant O Lord, peace in our days, peace to our souls, peace to our families, peace to our country and lasting peace among all nations of the world. Bring your Motherly comfort and consolation to those who are suffering.
Enlighten and strengthen all world leaders, that they may be committed to peace.
Change the hearts of terrorists and others who wish to destroy human life.
Protect us, from the moment of conception until natural death.
Finally, Dearest Mother, give us the knowledge, the grace and the courage
to forgive all who have harmed us and to seek forgiveness from those whom we may have harmed--that we may have peace in our hearts.
Then, with that peace, accept our prayers for peace in our families, our nation, and the whole world.

THE FIFTEEN PROMISES OF MARY TO CHRISTIANS WHO RECITE THE ROSARY.

1. Whoever shall faithfully serve me by the recitation of the rosary, shall receive signal graces.

2. I promise my special protection and the greatest graces to all those who shall recite the rosary.

3. The rosary shall be a powerful armour against hell, it will destroy vice, decrease sin and defeat heresies.

4. It will cause virtue and good works to flourish; it will obtain for souls the abundant mercy of God: it will withdraw the hearts of people from the love of the world and its vanities, and will lift them to the desire of external things. Oh that souls would sanctify themselves by these means.

5. The soul which recommends itself to me by the recitation of the rosary shall not perish.

6. Whoever shall recite the rosary devoutly, applying themselves to the consideration of its sacred mysteries shall never be conquered by misfortune. God will not chastise them in His justice, they shall not perish by an unprovided death; if they be just they shall remain in the grace of God and become worthy of eternal life.

7. Whoever shall have a true devotion for the rosary shall not die without the sacraments of the Church.

Mother of hope, Star of the sea, sure consolation of the pilgrim people, guide our steps in our journey through life, so that we may walk along paths of peace and harmony, of progress, justice and freedom.
Reconcile brothers and sisters; may hatred and rancour disappear; may divisions and barriers be overcome; may rifts be closed and wounds healed; may Christ be our Peace; 
may His pardon renew our hearts during this day.

Holy Michael, Archangel, defend us in the hour of battle. Be our safeguard against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him we humbly pray, and do thou, Prince of the Heavenly Host, by the power of God, (bind and) thrust down to hell satan and all wicked spirits that wander through the world for the ruin of souls.

Our Lady Queen of Peace and reconciliation, pray for us.

Our Lady calls for fasting as well. She says that bread and water on Wednesdays and Fridays is the best fast but not for the sick or infirm. IF YOU HAVE AN EATING DISORDER Anyone with a health problem especially an eating disorder has been clearly exempted from Our Lady's call for fasting. There are alternatives such as giving up something you really like for a day eg television. You know what you best like and could 'fast' from. So if you have an ED, PLEASE don't think you must fast. You mustn't if it will damage management and recovery from this or any illness. Pray more instead.
